Presentation Formats

Individual Talk

Individual talks will be 20 minutes in total, including 5 minutes of discussion. To submit an individual talk, please prepare a title, abstract (200 words max.) and 3-5 key words to help us sort individual talks into sessions.

Symposium

Symposia will comprise 4-5 individual talks on a homogeneous topic or research question. Each individual contribution should be 20 minutes, including 5 minutes of discussion, no matter how many presenters contribute. The last talk can be dedicated to a discussant summarizing and extracting implications from the previous presentations (also within a regular 20 minutes timeframe). We recommend symposium organisers to encourage the discussant to challenge the presented results and ideas and to provide a critical appraisal. It is up to the symposium organizers to either dedicate the last time slot to a discussant or regular presentation. It is however mandatory for each symposium submission to indicate a person in charge, who will communicate with the conference organizers and chair the session. To submit a symposium abstract please include an overall title, key words and summary (250 words max.) of the symposium concept, accompanied by titles and abstracts of the included talks (each 200 words max.). In case a symposium will be rejected, we will subsequently decide on the individual talks independently.

Posters

Poster presenters will be offered the opportunity to present a 5 minute summary/ teaser presentation within a regular talk session. The poster will be presented at one of the poster sessions. All posters should be formatted in A0 portrait (841 mm width, 1189 mm height). To submit a poster, please prepare a title, abstract (150 words max.) and 3-5 key words
